Como preparar o seu logótipo para impressão profissional em T-shirts e brindes

How to prepare your logo for professional printing on T-shirts and promotional products

If you want a truly professional result for your custom T-shirt, it all starts with the logo file.

Often, the problem isn't with the printing — it's with the quality of the file submitted.
At Newstarz, we always check files before production, but knowing how to properly prepare your logo can make all the difference.

Why is file quality so important?

DTF printing reproduces exactly what it receives.

If the file has:

  • Low resolution
  • Visible pixels
  • Unwanted white background
  • Poorly defined colors

The final result will be affected.

Ideal formats for printing

The best formats to send are:

  • High-resolution PNG (300 DPI)
  • Transparent background (where applicable)
  • Actual size close to print size

We also accept high-quality JPEGs, but PNG is preferred.

Correct design size

Avoid sending logos that are too small.

Example: A logo sent with 5 cm width cannot be enlarged to 30 cm without losing quality.

Simple rule: The larger the desired print area, the larger the original file should be.

Colors and contrast

Check:

  • If the logo colors contrast with the T-shirt color
  • If there are very light shadows that might lose visibility
  • If the black is truly black (RGB 0,0,0)

Small details make a big difference in the final result.

What if I only have an image with a white background?

No problem.

At Newstarz, we can:

  • Remove backgrounds
  • Adjust contrast
  • Improve sharpness
  • Prepare the file for DTF

The goal is to ensure a clean and professional print.
